Lesson 33: 2 800 Years of Sports
【教材分析】
本单元主要是围绕奥运会和世界纪录来展开话题。通过本单元的学习,学生可以了解奥运会的发展历史和相关的世界纪录。在学习过程中,学生不仅要能够勇敢地用英语表达自己的看法,也要感受奥运健儿和世界纪录创造者那种努力拼搏、不断超越自己的精神。
Lesson 33主要是介绍奥运历史,让学生了解现代奥运是如何逐步形成的。在学习过程中,学生应重点对比学习古代奥运和现代奥运的异同,学会简单介绍奥运会的发展史。
教学重点:1.掌握与介绍奥运会有关的词汇:ancient, compete, athlete, hold.
2.学习介绍古代奥运会的句式。
教学难点:如何用英语介绍古代奥运会及现代奥运会。 【教学目标】 1.知识目标:
识记单词: compete; married; host ; amazed; spirit; represent; athlete; Olympic; BC. 掌握句型短: compete against; every four years ; Good point; take place; take part in ; be amazed at…;find out;
2.语言技能:通过本课的学习,学生将有效提高听、说、读的能力。
3.情感态度:通过本课的学习,学生将了解奥运发展历史以及古代奥运和现代奥运的不同,拓展知
识面。
