What has economic development brought us ?

It is undeniable that economic development has brought us a great deal of benefits,not to mention the whole mankind. In China there are thousands of labourers who still lived in poverty, especially in rural areas.They firmly believe that it is the only effective way to help them get rid of poverty. Thanks to the economic development, our ordinary people's living standards have greatly improved in the past decades, without which it is impossible to success in social progress and national prosperity.Moreover it is the continual source of maintaining the social stability.Most important of all, the rapid development of economy is of profound significance for further deepening China's reform and opening up.

As a popular saying goes that everything has two sides,economic development takes no exception.It's well worth mentioning that the history of the economic development is also the history of mankind'constantly destroying the balance of the ecological environment

One example is that land resources are excessively developing and utilizing leading to water loss and soil erosion. For another example is that the vigorous development of automobile industry has casued the serious traffic jams and

accidents. What's worse,waste gases poison the air we are breathing ,and rivers,lakes,and even seas which are polluted by all the chemical factories and cities for the sake of their development and construction.The last but not least,economic development has sharpened the greenhouse effect which would threaten the existence of human beings.Until then,qone forever are not only our short natural resources but the only earth. To sum up,we have to treat them dialectically. In my opinion ,either of them can not be sacrificed to make room for each other.we must realize and analyze this contradiction deeply,then do something useful for it. Both goverments and ordinary people ought to join hands to strive for the betterment of our beloved motherland from the two aspects. While, for us college students the first priority is to study much more knowledge inside and outside school so as to be well-equipped and prepared for exploring the innovative ways to solve this kind of similar problems.
