Little Red Hen



教学内容 Little Red Hen 教学目标

1. 通过阅读故事,能够理解故事内容,按要求完成练习。

2. 通过本课的学习,学生能会读会用词汇、句型: plant the wheat, have to rest, take

a nap, weed the wheat field, take a bath, become ripe, harvest the wheat Who will help me? I will ...all by myself.

3.通过听、说、读、写、想等多种方式的训练,发展学生的英语学习能力。

4.通过学习此篇小故事,学生能够体会到劳动的艰辛和收获的喜悦,懂得“一分耕耘,才会有一分收获”的道理。 教学的重点

1.使学生能够看懂故事,按要求完成练习,并能有感情地朗读和表演故事。 2. 从听、说、读、写等方面入手,培养学生学习英语的综合能力。 教学难点:

1. 学生能看图创编情景对话。

2. 使学生能充分发挥想象力,并以小组合作的形式续写故事,表演故事。 教学准备:

课件,文章,头饰,海报 教学过程:

Step 1: Warming up

1.Sing the song Ali BaBas Farm

2.Free talk and teach the new words: little red hen

T: On Ali Babas farm, there are some animals. Do you like animals? S: Yes , we do.

TToday I’ll tell you an interesting story about the Hen ————Little Red Hen.(学生读题目)

Little Red Hen has two friends. Who are they? Lets listen guess and mimic. 3.Students listen , guess and mimic. [设计意图]

通过唱这首歌一方面活跃课堂气氛,拉近与学生的距离,消除学生的紧张感,营造良好学习气氛,另一方面可以自然地过渡到农场上的小动物,进而引出主人公“little red hen .通过听动物的叫声来猜动物能激发学生的好奇心自然引出pig goat,模仿三种动物有趣的叫声,激发学生的兴趣,也为后面更好地朗读和表演作铺垫。

Step 2 : Lead the story 1. Enjoy some pictures.

T: What are they doing?

Picture. 1 T: What are the pig and goat doing? S: They are looking at the bread.

Picture.2 T: What is the little Red Hen doing?

S: She is

(总结)T: Little Red Hen is making the bread in the winter. What does she do in the spring ,summer and autumn?


Now , lets read the story Little Red Hen [设计意图]

通过倒叙的形式巧妙地设计悬念,抓住学生眼球,激发他们的好奇心,并为故事埋下伏笔。同时拉出一条时间线索,使学生对故事的脉络有个初步地认识。

Step 3: Spring

1. Watch and think. What did the little red hen decide to do? 2. Watch the cartoon.

3. Answer the question and learn the phrase : plant the wheat [设计意图]

通过看一遍动画回答问题,培养学生抓细节的能力,了解故事的主要事件“种麦子”为学生不会朗读 plant the wheat,所以采用了选择题的形式让学生来回答,这样降低学习难度,并自然引出“plant the wheat”的教学,显得轻松而自然。

4.Learn the sentences and the phrases, then try to mimic: Who will help me plant this wheat? I willall by myself. have to rest, take a nap.

T: The Little Red Hen decided to plant the wheat. So she needed some help. What did

she say? S: ...

T: How about her friends? S:

5.So,the little red hen will plant the wheat all by herself.(屏幕出示句型,跟读) 6.Read after the cartoons. 7.Read the passage together. [设计意图]

通过让学生有感情地,形象地朗读三种动物所说的话,一方面能激发孩子爱模仿的天性,并在这个过程中学习短语:have to rest, take a nap,另一方面也为下面更好地学和演打下基础。

Step 4:Summer

1. What do they do in the summer?

2. Let the students read summer by themselves and line the answer.

3. Check the answer, and learn the phrases: weed the wheat field, take a bath Read and act. [设计意图]

首先让学生自主阅读找出答案,发展他们自主学习的能力,并使他们在完成练习的过程中轻松地学习词汇,学生学得没有负担,然后以男女生和老师的角色朗读让学生体会到朗读的乐趣。

Step 5: Autumn

1.Read the aside and learn the phrases: become ripe, harvest the wheat. 2. What do they do in the autumn? 2.Listen and choose. 3. Read and act [设计意图]

这一环节重点训练了学生听的能力,并在听完后让学生在小组内进行角色朗读,然后让孩子们带上头套展示他们朗读的技巧,调动了课堂气氛,并使孩子们说的能力得到充分地锻
