英语音标发音表

英语国际音标共48个音素，其中元音音素20个，辅音音素28个。对于初学者来说，若采用集中教学，要学会48个音素的发音并区别开。确实不易。笔者对音标的教学采用了相对集中的方法，即从字母名称教学过渡到部分音标教学。 国际音标（英语语音） 元音 单元音 前元音 [i:] [i] 中元音 [Λ] [ə:]

1.名词复数词尾加-s /-es的读音规则 英语名词的复数形式，一般在单数名词后面加-s或-es构成，其读音规则为： （1） 词尾所加的-s或-es在清辅音后读作[s]，在浊辅音后读作[z]，在元音后面读作[z]。

例如：desks /s/, maps /s/, lakes /s/, fields /z/，pandas /z/, boys /z/ 等。 （2） 在以s, x,. sh, ch结尾的词加-es读作[iz]。

例如：classes, buses, brushes, watches, boxes等。 （3） 在以se, ce, ge结尾的词加-s, 词尾es读作[iz]

例如：horses, nurses， places, offices, oranges，pages, changes等 （4）从词尾-f或-fe变化而来的复数词尾-ves读作[vz]。 例如：thieves, shelves, lives, leaves, halves等。

以上名词复数的读音规则也适合于动词第三人称单数词尾所加的-s或-es。

2．动词的过去式词尾加-ed的读音规则。

规则动词的过去式由动词原形加-ed构成，其读音规则为： （1） 在清辅音后读[t]。

例如：worked, finished, helped, hoped, liked, stopped等。 （2） 在元音和浊辅音后读[d]。

例如：followed, tried, stayed, called, believed, lived, planned等。 （3） 在辅音[t, d]后读[id]。

例如：wanted, rested, needed, ended等。

另外:当 oo 后面是下面几种情况时发长音 1. oo 后面没有其它字母时,如 too, zoo.

2. oo 后面是 l, m, n 时, 如 fool,tool, school, room, broom, moon, noon. 但当room 与其它词构成合成词时,发短音.如 classroom, bedroom .

3. 在表示食物和有生命的东西时, 发长音.如 food, noodle, rooster, goose, 当oo 后是 t, d, k 等字母时, 基本上发短音.如 foot, good, took, book. 但也有例外的.如 boot, tooth, 都发长音.

平时读单词时要准,有了一定的语感,该是长音还是短音自己就能感觉到了.

(1) th位于词首时，可以从词性上判别其应有的读音。在名词、动词、形容词和数词中th发清辅音。如：thing, theatre, thunder, thermos, Thursday, theory, theme, throat, thread, think, thank, thrive, thicken, thirteen, thirty, third,

thousand, thick, thirsty, thoughtful, thorough 在代词和一些功能词中th发浊辅音.如： them, their, theirs, there, the, than, then, though, thus, therefore, they。只有介词through是个例外。 (2) th位于词尾（或音节之尾）时，其读音多数是清辅音，如：bath, breath, tooth, 等。只有在少数单词中，如：with, smooth 中读浊音。

(3) th在词中并且后面接er时，或者最后一个字母是不发音的e时，通常也发浊辅音。例如：feather, weather, whether, leather, further, father, bathe, breathe, southern, northern, either等。在其他情况下发清辅音。例如：author, faithful, method, nothing, anything, healthy, wealthy。
