1.Greetings.
2.Show a video clip from the movie Big Hero 6 which shows the robot Baymax, then ask students whether they like Baymax and why.
Next, invite students to answer the questions “What can Baymax do?” “Can Baymax jump?” and lead into the topic naturally.
Step 2: Pre-reading
Show some pictures on the textbook to the students and guide them to describe the look of this robot. Then, encourage students to guess “what can the robot do?” Invite some students to share their predictions.
Step 3: While-reading
1. Extensive reading
Read the passage for students and ask them to find what robot can do and check their predictions.
Then invite two students to share the answers and write down the answers on the blackboard.
2. Intensive reading
Listen to the tape and ask students to complete the conversation on the screen: B: These robots are _____!
