A: How's our budget for the Adam's project? 亚当那个项目的预算，我们做的怎么样了？



B: We're still drafting the final budget, but it seems like we'll have quite a buffer. Don't worry about going over budget for supplies, our funds are more than enough.

我们还在起草最终的预算方案，不过好像我们还有一大笔准备金。供货方面的预算就不用管了，我们的资金足够了。



A: Are you sure? Last year we went over by 30% on supplies alone. The financial department was out for my head.

你能肯定么？去年我们逛供货费用就超出了30%，财务部门快把我逼疯了！



B: They remembered last year's mistake in allotment, so this year they have taken last year's spending into consideration. They've given you adequate funds this year.

他们记得去年在存拨款方面的失误，所以今年他们已经把去年的花销考虑进去了，今年给你们留出了足够的资金。



A: That's good to know. Other than the supplies budget, we still have overhead costs. Where did the extra money come from to cover supplies?

B: Actually, it did come from the overhead. Most of those materials are still leftover from last year, so we anticipate re-using them. We cut corners a bit. 实际上只有从管理费用里扣了，去年还剩下很多材料，所以我们先重复用着，这样还可以减少一点儿支出。



A: That might be a problem. Have you looked at what is leftover from the last year? Many of the pieces are in bad shape. They might not be reusable. Perhaps you should alert the budget committee before it's too late. We may need more money.

这可能还有问题，你看过去年剩下的东西么？很多地方都变形了，可能不能再用了，或许你应该尽早提醒预算委员会做好准备，我们可能需要更多的钱。

B: I'll talk to them and see what can be arranged. 我去跟他们讲，看看能做什么安排。
