1. If you want a friend, be a friend. 在friends和neighbor的话题中常用。

2. It’s a blessing in disguise. 很像中文的“因祸得福”，在part3陈述事物影响时常用。

3. Prevention is better than cure. 预防比有病之后再治疗要好。 4. A fault confessed is half regardless. 敢于承认错误，错误就已经改正了一般。这句在part3提出solutions时常用。 5. A man is known by the company he keeps.

这里的company不是公司，而是陪伴你的人。这句很像中文的“人以群分”，说friends相关话题时常用。

6. Blood is thicker than water. 血浓于水。回答和family有关的话题时常用。

7. of two minds about…/be born between A and B/in a dilemma/between a rock and a hard place/be in a bird 左右为 难。Part2描述decision时可以用。

8. He’s a real Renaissance man./ She’s a real Renaissance woman. 形容一个人多才多艺。

9. …is a feast for my eyes/ …is a great treat to me. 让我大饱眼福。这个艺术品或者自然景色都很好。 10. When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

这里的第一个tough是“困难的”，第二个tough是“顽强的”，基本意思就是“坚持就是胜利”。用在Part2描述成功的任务不错。 11. It’s like putting the cart before the horse.

这个很像中文的“本末倒置”，不过在英文里它主要指做事情的顺序不对，应该先做的反而后去完成，很适合应在Part3部分提出建议改变不良现状。 12. She’s growing like a weed. 形容小孩长个儿快。

13. She’s the apple of her parents’ eye. 小孩是父母的掌上明珠。注意这里的eye不加复数。


14. It’s a dog-eat-dog world. 竞争很残酷。描述人的成功过程，Part2常用。

15. Penny wise and penny foolish. 小事儿聪明，大事儿糊涂。Part3常用。 16. Have tunnel vision. 目关短浅。
