The Disadvantages of Using WeChat



WeChat is a popular app among people owing its great convenience. You can talk with friends far way easily on phone or delivery documents at work. It also provides payment function avoiding the problem of bringing too many cashes when going out. Nevertheless there is some inevitable disadvantages with it, like the safe threat, misleading information and embarrassment with relatives.

Wechat can bind your bank card so you can pay using phone, but some people are considering the safe threat. You have to risk of bank card being stolen because of the technical weakness. At first, I didn’t bind a bank card, then I found that I was not allowed to join any groups. The most ridiculous part is that the only way to certificate myself is banding a cardand it really annoy me. In addition, the app asking for your phone contacts, messengers, locations and camera. The leakage of privacy is an alarming problem.

The information is updating every minute in WeChat，many of them are misleading. Maybe you have read such a passage in your friend circle titled” 9 factsyou must know as a Chinese”. It’s a common rumour to cheat people especially the old. And WeChat is becoming a new platform to make deals. Everyone can sell goods in their friend circle without quality supervision, like the makeup not showing the producer and produnction date. Maybe you have heard their name called WeiShang(微商). I have a bad impression of them.

It’s always hard to pick up topics and talk with your relatives，but WeChat makes us be watched all the time by parents and relatives. When you post some words in friend circle, they will comment with something awakward. For example, you post a picture after modifying by PhotoShop, they will ask “is that person you? So strange.”

Actually I haven’t get used to using WeChat up to now.
