一、State of the environment(环境现状）

①In fact,environmental pollution is a very serious problem the whole world is facing.(全世界所面临的）

②In some areas,the air also becomes dirty and harmful. Consequently,animals and plants are endangered .And people's health is greatly affected.

③Many countries have passed laws to prevent the environment from being further polluted.

④People are working hard to find ways to keep the earth clean. *⑤Nowadays ,we have many conveniences in our life which have been brought about by technology and science.

(接上句）⑥However,the advances in technology and science(科技进步）have caused some very dangerous problems.

⑦More and more countries are trying to work out some effective means to bring it under control,but no great success has been made.

⑧Time and time again there are serious accidents that pollute the air.

二、To solve the environmental problem(解决环境问题） ①Environment protection is very important today .There are


many things governments and the media can do in this regard. ②Definitely,controlling the increase of population is one of the most effective ways.

③More efforts will be needed to win the battle against pollution.

④I think it is not only governments' but also everyone's duty to protect our environment.

⑤The laws controlling pollution must be strictly enforced. ⑥And above all,attention should be paid to the education of people so that every will show his concern about environment protection.

⑦Furthermore,governments must take action to prevent individuals and companies from harming our environment. ⑧In order to have a beautiful environment,not only

governments,but also all the citizens should work together. ⑨It's governments' responsibility to make environment protecting policies.
