Jane Eyre is a novel that truly captured my heart. The story is set in 19th century England and follows the life of the protagonist, Jane Eyre, as she goes through many difficult experiences in her quest for love, acceptance and independence.

Jane is an orphan who is raised by her cruel aunt and sent to a boarding school where she is mistreated by the headmaster. Despite all the hardships, Jane remains fiercely independent and determined to make something of herself.

One of the things I loved about this book was the strong feminist themes. Jane challenges traditional gender roles and refuses to be subservient to men. She demands equal treatment and is not afraid to speak her mind, even when it means going against societal norms.
