I like reading very much. When I was a small girl, I was interested in reading picture books on science and history. At the age of seven, I entered a primary school and began to read more books.

Now I am a middle school student. I have many subjects to learn. Every day I must finish a lot of homework.I am very busy. But when I have spare time I still want to read some story books. My father likes to tell me a story before I sleep, so I like to read story book. My parents buy me a lot of books, I read them everyday, I always finish reading a book in a week. Many people consider gold and silver as the most valuable things. They like these things more than anything else.I, on the contrary, put reading books first in the world.

The old saying, "to open a book is always beneficial", sufficiently shows how good it is to read a book. Books are our friends, which introduce us to different kinds of

knowledge and lead us to the road of greatness. They increase our knowledge, enlarge our experience, strengthen our


character and do many other things which we might otherwise have failed to do.

Yet our life is limited and the knowledge is boundless. Therefore, we must make the best use of our time to read more books, thus to obtain more knowledge.
