Ladies and gentlemen,

Before my speech, I want to ask you a question. You all must have heard of it. Chicken first or egg first? I know it is a highly controversial topic. But do you want to know the right answer?As far as I am concerned, I do.

When I was in primary school, I accidentally found some words in some book---Chicken first or egg first? At that time, it happened that in my grandma’s court was a chicken coop, and it also happened that I had just seen one of the hens lay an egg, but never saw a chicken come from an egg. So I firmly believed that it was chicken that came first.

Then I entered middle high school. I made a good friend, as we had so many similar hobbies. One day, on the way to dining hall, she asked me,”do you think chicken first or egg first?” Of course, I said chicken. But she firmly held that it was egg.”No egg,no chicken”. I firmly believed ,no chicken ,no egg. So, we broke up.

After entering high school, short video began to prevail. I saw a little yellow head popping out of an egg through my own eyes.I felt ashamed. Then I called my friend and apologized to her. We became reconciled.

Now, I am in college. I found that not all the knowledge has right answers. Everyone has its own idea. Translating has different definitions among different translators. Different linguists have different opinions on the origin of language. For all these differences, scholars learn from each other and work together to make contributes to science. So that we can explore this world with much experience. Therefore, egg first or chicken first? Either is ok.

Confucius has a wise saying,”The gentleman is harmonious but different”, which means the gentleman takes "harmony" as the criterion. They are good at listening to different opinions, and dare to put forward their own opinions. China has been holding mutual respect, common development, and mutual learning among different civilizations. In recent years, China's vision of a community with a shared future for mankind has provided a "Chinese solution" to global governance. The Chinese government has carried out active international cooperation in virus detection, drug development, vaccine development and joint fight against the epidemic, which has demonstrated the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind through its own actions. China is the contributor of the world’s development. It was, it is and it will always be.
