1. Introduction:

The first defeat of humans to machines in Go, a game where humans used to dominate by intelligence, has attracted worldwide attention and sparked fears that artificial intelligence will replace humans. Will artificial intelligence replace human? Is it groundless for machines to replace human work in the future?

2. My opinion:

In this regard, my view is that the replacement of human work by machines in the future is not groundless. Industrial robot instead of manual operation will become the general trend, the reasons are as follows:

First, the industrial production line with high accuracy requirements of products, manual operation for a long time is prone to fatigue, resulting in lack of energy, the use of robots can effectively avoid this situation, maximize the rate of genuine products and production efficiency.

Second, some industries still have the phenomenon of high labor intensity, poor working environment and affecting the health of operators. Using robots instead of manual operation can achieve civilized production, which is consistent with Ngai's view that robots and computers can not only do all kinds of manual work more efficiently, but also complete more work that was difficult to be automated and needed cognitive ability in the past.

The third is the product cost factor, reducing labor costs. For example, Foxconn, a Taiwan company, has introduced robots to replace 60000 employees in its branches. As Carr thinks, the economic impetus of replacing labor with software is too strong. It is impossible for human beings to voluntarily abandon the latest technology and use tools that require more manpower, are less complex and will ultimately benefit users. Therefore, whether in the production line of traditional manufacturing or emerging industries, the use of industrial robots instead of manual operation will become the general trend. As predicted by the report released by McKinsey Global Institute, by 2055, about half of the manual work may be automated through the use of technology.

Fourth, nowadays, many enterprises, such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft and other enterprises abroad, Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent and other enterprises in China, are laying out artificial intelligence. Enterprises whose main business is artificial intelligence have also become an important target of M & A (mergers and acquisitions). And the salary of talents engaged in artificial intelligence is rising.



3. Summary:

From what have been discussed above, it can be concluded that artificial intelligence is the trend of the times. Therefore, I don't think it's groundless to worry that machines will replace human work in the future.
