I would like to present my hearty thanks to people who help me in the process of learning British and American literature and writing this thesis for MA degree.

First of all, I give my particular thanks to my supervisor, Associate Professor Xun Yang, who helped me choose my research orientation and inspired me a lot in the process of writing this thesis. She is generous in helping me and is very strict in my study. It is under her help that I can finish this meaningful project.

Then I want to extend my sincere gratitude to all the teachers who have taught and instructed me in my post-gratitude studies. Their lectures and courses are enlightening and serve as a valuable source of knowledge and inspiration in my study.
