1、The Importance of Protecting the Environment As we all know, now the environment condition is becoming worse and worse. So it is important for us to protect the environment no matter how busy our life is. In my opinion, protecting the environment is one part in my life. In school, I promise to keep our class room clean. I think it is a good way to plant some trees near our class room as well. Besides, I promise not to litter and to pick up some dirty things on the ground and then put it into the litter bin. We should reuse plastic bags when we go shopping. In brief, the harder you try, the better our environment will be in the future.

2、I’m a member of a film review club

When I was only a little girl, I took up writing a film review as my hobby. Now I’m a member of a film review club. I’m very glad about it because it’s meaningful. All of the members share our reviews with each other. Even if we discuss them from morning till night, we never get tired of it. We enjoy ourselves all the time. In my opinion, writing a film review is to the mind what exercise is to the body. To do such a thing makes my life more and more colourful.

3、Reading brings me happiness

Everybody reads books, but not all of them can find enjoyment and pleasure from books. Reading books can not only relax me, but bring me happiness as well. Very often reading keeps the balance between work and leisure. When I face difficult problems, I usually read a book for a while, and try to know a kind of spirit and wisdom from different characters. No doubt it is a good choice to get fun out of reading. All in all, I always learn a lot from books. Books are a source of my endless happiness.

The flood is considered to be one of the most horrible natural disasters. What shall people in cities do when a flood happens? Firstly, you should put all your personal things on a higher place and prepare enough food, drinking water and medicine. Secondly, you have to keep all the available communications working well to keep in touch with the outside. If possible, you can also collect materials like basins and wood to make a tool like a raft. You may use it to save yourself. But you should remember when a flood comes the first thing you should do is go to a building which must be high and strong enough and wait to be rescued.

The new school library is open. We can go to the library from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. on school days and from 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. on weekends. With a library card, every student can borrow 3 books every time and is allowed to keep them for two weeks. In the periodical room on the second floor readers are able to read all kinds of magazines and newspapers. On the third floor, readers can surf the Internet to search for the information they need in the E-reading room. And 8 volunteers are wanted to work as library assistants. 6、Advangtages and Disadvanges of TV

As we know, TV plays an important part in our daily life. It’s more convenient to get information from TV than from newspapers. It is an important tool to spread culture and information, including foreign languages. And we can learn much knowledge from TV which we can’t get from books. What’s more, good TV programs can keep us wise and healthy. With TV, children can grow up happily. But watching TV too long is not good. Sitting in front of the TV all day does harm to our eyes and wastes our time for study.

7、The Attractions in My Hometown

I was born in Shanghai so this beautiful city is my hometown. Shanghai is now an international city and it has a lot of attractions. These attractions welcome people from all over the world to enjoy its special beauty and atmosphere. I love almost every attraction in this city. Among all these I love the Bund best.

It is on the east bank of the Huangpu River, we can enjoy the beautiful old buildings along the Bund. It looks really beautiful with the lights on at night. And a few musicians gather there to play and sing and it brings pleasure to many people who would like to stop to listen. In brief, I love the Bund best in my hometown.

8、Living in Summer Camps

We feel really excited because we will have an English summer camp this July. What a wonderful item it will be!

Some students prefer to live alone, while others may want to share their rooms with their roommates. The way I like is living with roommates. First, living with roommates is cheaper. I can share the cost of living with other students. It saves money for my parents. Second, living with roommates makes me happy. We can study and play games together. I will have more chances to communicate with others so that I can make friends easily. Besides, when I am in difficulty, my roommates will help me, so I will feel safer when living with others. In brief, I am looking forward to living with my roommates this summer.
