Unit 1 How tall are you? A. Let’s learn 教学设计

教学目标：

1. 知识目标：

（1） 能够听、说、读、写单词：younger, older, taller, shorter, longer。

（2） 能够听、说、认读句子： How tall are you? I’m 1.61metres. I’m taller. You’re older than me

, too.

2. 能力目标：

（1） 能够运用上述单词描述人物的外貌特征； （2） 能够理解形容词比较级的基本构词规律；

（

3. 情感态度：

（1） 培养学生学习英语的兴趣，树立学生学习英语的信心 。 （2） 让学生养成积极锻炼身体的习惯。

教学重点：

1. 学习单词：younger, older, taller, shorter, longer；

2. 掌握句子：How tall are you? I’m 1.61metres. I’m taller. You’re older than me , too.



教学难点：

正确使用句型“…is … than … ”进行各种比较。



教学过程：

Step 1： Warming-up

1. Greetings.

2. 利用多媒体课件出示 chant ，师生一起边做动作边说： Tall, tall, tall, I am tall. Short, short, short, he is short. Big, big, big, her eyes are big. Small, small, small, his eyes are small （ 设计意图：调节课堂气氛，吸引学生的注意力，提高学生的学习兴趣。）

Step 2： Leading in Activity:

教师出示形容词的单词卡片，女同学说出老师出示卡片的相应的单词，男同学则马上说出它的反义词，然后交换。比一比，看谁说的又快又准。 （设计意图：复习形容词类的单 词。） Step 3： Presentation


1. 教学单词 younger, older, taller, shorter, longer

(1)教学单词younger, older （利用课件出示图片） T：Look, This is Sarah, this is Miss White. Sarah is 12 years old, Miss White is 30 years old. Sarah is young, she is younger than Miss White. Miss White is old, she is older than Sarah. 教师板书：young----younger old ---- older,告知 学生 younger 是young 的比较级，older -- old 的比较级。当两者进行比较时就是比较级。一般 情况下，比较级通常是在单词的末尾加上 er，er 发[ə]的音。最后，教师带读单词 younger 和older。并让学生用升降调练习单词的发音，男生读 younger，女生读 older，然后交换练习。(2)教学单词 taller, shorter （用课件出示图片） T: Look at the picture, They are comparing their height. Zhang Peng is taller than John, John is shorter than Zhang Peng. 教师板书：tall taller short --- shorter, 教师边做动作边带读单词，接着教师做动作，男生说出该动作的单词，女 生说出该单词的比较级，然后交换练习。

(3) 教学单词 longer （用课件出示图片） T：Today, Chen jie is wearing a dress, Amy is wearing a skirt. Can you see the difference?（引导学生回答） T：Yes, The dress of Chen jie is long, and Amy's skirt is short. Chen's dress is longer than Amy's skirt. 教师板书：long longer ,教师边做 动作边带读：long, long, longer… 接着，教师说 long，学生说 longer。 2. 教学 A. Let’s learn

(1)播放 A. Let’s learn 部分的动画，让学生静听。(2)再次播放动画，让学生边听边跟读。 (3)让学生分组模仿动画中的对话。

Step 4 Practice

1.Look and write: 出示本课时学习的四会单词：younger, older, taller, shorter, longer，让学生拿出英语本练习书写，每个写一遍。 （设计意图：培养学生正确书写单词的能力。） 2.Make a comparison： 让学生分小组用本课时所学的词汇带入对话中进行对话练习，然后请部分同学进行展示。 如：A: How old are you? B:I’m… years old. …metres. （设计意图：培养学生听说的能力。）

A: How tall are you? B: I’m

Step 5 Consolidation and extension Activity

Do a survey and report 活动方式：让学生分组，先各自仿照范例画好表格： Name Age Height 分小组收集资料，最后请几名学生汇报自己的调查结果，例如： A is taller than B, but B is taller than C…… （设计意图：检验学生是否能正确使用句型“…is … than … ”进行各种比较。）

Step 6 Summary：

1. 小结本节课的重点词汇： younger, older, taller, shorter, longer。 2. 小结本节课的重点句型： How … are you? I’m … . … is … than … . 3. 情感升华： 让学生养成积极锻炼身体的习惯。

Step 7 Homework:

1. 用今天所学的词汇和句型来描述家人。 2. 完成本课时的同步练习册。
