Step1.warming up

1. Greeting

T: Good morning, boys and girls. How are you today? Ss: Good morning. Miss Huang. I’m very well, thank you.

Step2.Lead-in

教学过程

1. Introduce myself

Show a picture to students, and introduce myself. For example: T: Hello. I’m Miss Huang. I’m thin and tall. My hair is short. My nose is small.


My eyes are big. I am super.

2. Have students try to talk about you follow the sentences. For

example:

T: Hello. You…… Miss Huang. You…… thin and tall. Your hair …… short. Your nose ……small. Your eyes ……big. Your ……super

Step 3. Presentation

1． Show some pictures: big mouth and small mouth, big nose and

small nose, big head and small head, long hair and short hair

T: (point to teacher’s mouth) My mouth is small. (point to the picture of big mouth)Your mouth is big. Show the sentence: My … is… . Your … is …

（可数名词表示一个的是单数，如mouth和nose,即单数形式，所以要用“is” ） .

(hair是不可数名词,后面不加“s”, 要用“is”)



2．: Show some pictures: big eyes and small eyes, big ears and small ears,

T: (point to teacher’s eyes) My eyes are small.(point to the picture of big eyes)Your eyes are big. Show the sentence: My … are … .

（可数名词后面加“s”的都是指两个或两个以上的，比如eyes和ears,即复数形式，所以要用“are”。）

Step4. Practice

1. Have students choose Is or Are

2. Talk about your classmate with the sentences.

S1: My head is big, Your head is small. My hair is long, Your hair is short. My eyes are big, Your eyes are small My ears are small. Your ears are big.

3. Have the students talk about Giant and Super girl.

T: ’m Giant, Big and tall. My head is big. And my hair is short. My mouth and eyes are big. Ss: You are Giant, Big and tall. Your head is big. And Your hair is short. Your mouth and eyes are big.
