Week one:

Describe your ideal job. Say what the job is.

Describe what duties it would involve. Explain why you would like to do this job. Week two:

Talk about a holiday that you have particularly enjoyed. You should say where you went on holiday.

You should say when and with whom you went on the holiday. You should explain why you enjoyed it. Week three:

Describe a famous business person you admire. Say who this person is and what job they do. State how you found out about them. Explain why you admire them. Week four:

Describe your favorite children’s story. Describe the story.

You should state when you first heard or read this story. Say why you like it. Week five:

Describe your favorite TV programme. What is it? Which channel?

When and where do you watch it?

What kind of programme it is? What’s it about and explain why you like it? Week six:

Describe an important success in your life. When/where it happens? What is it about? How do you make it?

Why it is important for you? Week seven:

Describe your best friend.

How you knew each other and how you became friends? How you spend time together?

Explain why he/she is your best friend? Week eight:

Describe a book/story you read before.

What’s the book/story’s name? When did you read it? What is it about?

What influence it brings to you? Week nine:

Describe a festival that is important in your country. What’s the name? When?

How people celebrate it? What’s your feeling about this festival? What your family do at this festival? Explain what is special about it? Week ten:

Describe your favorite mode of transport. Describe what type of transport you prefer. State how often you travel in this way?

Abstract：

The author insists that qualified translators should be equipped with the following abilities： solid translational skills of foreign language,profound knowledge of Chinese language and culture,and wide international

horizon.Furthermore,this thesis points out that the indispensable requirements for excellent translators of publicity material are scrupulous academic attainments,good professional ethnics and correct political position.
