Mulit-faceted Evaluation Strategies for English Reading in Junior High Under the Two-Belt Policy Modern education is becoming more diversified and innovative with the implementation of the Two-belt Policy. Meanwhile, English reading teaching, as an important part of junior high school education, urgently needs multidimensional evaluation strategies to further promote its effectiveness. To begin with, multiple choice questions can be used to evaluate students ‘comprehension ability in order to test their general

understanding and ability to apply their knowledge. Secondly, open-ended questions are also adopted to assess their perspective analysis. Thirdly, real-life tasks such as field trips, interviews or visits by experts can be designed to test the students ‘ability to apply the theoretical knowledge learned to solve practical questions. In addition, free response questions can be given to test the students’ initiative and

creativity in English reading. Moreover, reflections or presentations can be used to integrate knowledge and to cultivate autonomous learning ability.
