Teaching Aims:
New words: To learn to read and recognize 4 kinds of fruits: apple, banana, orange, pear.
Sentence pattern: Try to answer “---What do you like?” using “---I like....” To arouse kids’ interests in learning English.
Teaching Materials:
Flashcards, red heart-shaped paper, baskets made of paper, paper fruits, hammers, .
Teaching Procedures: Warming-up:
Greet the kids with a big smile and say “Hello everyone”, --“Hello Louie”, high five with the kids one by one. "Stand up, sit down, walk, hop, run.” Do these actions twice or 3 times.
Then let’s sing a song (Walking walking) to cheer them up.
Words teaching:
(1)Leading-in and presentation:
Show the kids the fruits garden(The picture above.). Today let’s go to the fruits garden to pick some fruits, let’s go.
(Music)Walk, walk, walk, Wow, look, what we’ve found on the tree.

Game1(Do a demo first.): Jump to the right flashcard according to what the teacher says.
Game 2(Do a demo first.):Magic bag: Kids take out one kind of fruit from the magic box randomly and try to say it out, at the same time put it on the right flashcard on the floor.
(3)Production:
Let’s play a game: Teacher says the word, kids try to hit the right flashcard with a hammer and say it out 3 times.
Sentence teaching:
(1)Presentation:
Take out a puppet, touch its tummy and say: it’s hungry, it wants something to eat . Let it take an apple out from the magic box, and say the sentence: I like apples(TPR). Eat the apple quickly and pretend to be full. Then take an orange out from the magic box, bite it and show a facial expression(It is sour.) and say the sentence: I don’t like oranges(TPR). From those, have the kids understand the meaning of “like”.
(2)Practice:
Use red heart-shaped paper to stand for “like”, then put the 4 kinds of fruits on the floor, have the kids come to the front. If he or she likes a certain kind of fruit, just put the red heart-shaped paper on the fruit and say the sentence “I like….” out.
(3)Production:
Let’s play a game: Going shopping. Teacher does a demo for the kids first( Use money to bus the fruit they like.), then have the kids buy something they like using the sentence: “I like….”
Wrapping-up:
Teacher quickly shows a flashcard randomly and have the kids say the word out together, then show the red heart-shaped paper together with the flashcard and say the sentence: “I like....”
